Privacy & cookies

Who runs this site

UV GO is maintained by Artem Bakulin. For privacy enquiries, contact the maintainer through their GitHub profile. Please do not post personal information in public issues.

Your weather preferences

Your selected place and planning preferences are stored in your browser’s localStorage. You can remove them by clearing this site’s data in your browser. Coordinates and city searches are sent to Open-Meteo to retrieve weather and location results. SeeOpen-Meteo’s privacy information.

Optional Google Analytics

Google Analytics is disabled on this build. No analytics script is loaded.

If enabled and accepted, Google Analytics 4 measures visits and site usage for audience statistics. Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC process usage data such as page paths, visit times, browser and device information, and cookie identifiers. Your IP address is transmitted when connecting to Google. We do not intentionally send your selected weather location, search terms, URL query parameters or fragments to Analytics. Advertising storage, advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled in our tag.

Analytics processing is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). GA uses first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_* to distinguish visits. Their lifetime is limited to 180 days by this site’s configuration, without renewal on each visit. The analytics consent choice (acceptance or rejection, timestamp and version) is stored in localStorage under uvgo:analytics-consent:v1 for 180 days. This preference is necessary to remember your choice and is not sent to Google by our consent manager.

Change or withdraw your choice

When analytics is available, use “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page to change your choice. Select “Reject analytics” to withdraw consent. This stops future collection, deletes accessible GA cookies for this site and reloads the page to remove the active tag. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal and does not delete data already received by Google. Clearing site storage also resets your choice.

Google’s processing and your rights

Google may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Its contractual safeguards and applicable transfer arrangements are described inGoogle’s data processing terms. Read Google’s Privacy Policy andhow Google uses data from partner sites.

Under applicable data protection law, you may request access, correction, erasure or restriction of your personal data, and portability where applicable. Contact the maintainer using the link above. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
